4K pornography home videos?

(seriously though, that's an awesome piece of kit. I think they retail for more than my car is worth)

Nice rotary phone...is it hooked up? We've got a 1943 Western Electric that connects to our cell phones via a bluetooth adapter. Its an old no dial with cloth cords, totally original and still works perfectly. I love it because it has a slightly different tone to the ring because it has steel bells due to wartime rationing of brass. (I collect old phones)

Do rotaries still work on the public telephone network without modification?

I tried to get sponsorship from BlackMagic when I was actively shooting a ton of video. Ended up getting some good initial feedback, and then everything fell through and I never got the camera.

So I just stuck with my 7D and follow focus. What are you going to do....

You should enjoy it though, those things are absolutely awesome cameras. When RED is too expensive, BlackMagic is the perfect substitute.

It depends on the network. They will almost always work, but sometimes won't dial out. The network has to support pulse dialing, and some don't anymore. Usually it's VOIP networks that won't allow you to dial out. Also sometimes they won't ring correctly. The ringers need more current than some systems will provide. Many old phone collectors use an older business phone switch that will support pulse and provide extra current. You can pick them up on ebay pretty cheap. My grandfather has been using the same rotary phone since the 80's. He says its the only one he can hear on. I have an adapter box that connects to my cell phone with bluetooth, and surprisingly supports pulse dialing...so I can actually make a cell phone call and dial with the rotary.
